Here's a guide to the series, with links, so you can get a feel for where we've come and what we've done... and fill in any bits that you missed.
First we looked at the legend of the superwoman, especially in her manifestation as the super-ministry-wife. I argued that this was a particularly unhelpful way to think and speak about each other.
We discussed these problems:
- heart issues (bitter jealousy and fearful competition)
- works not grace
- misplaced glory
- impossible ideal
We looked at better ways to think about the 'superwomen' we know. Remember, she's not superwoman, she's...
- a sinner
- a weakling
- got different gifts
- made different choices
- had different experiences
- got different opportunites.
Then we thought about what she needs. My list included;
And there were other helpful suggestions along the way.
Finally, instead of talking about how we think about and speak of others (which the series has mostly been about), we spent a little time thinking about why and whether we oursleves might aspire to be superwoman and what might be more helpful attitudes as we seek to serve God with all our hearts.
.
Here are links to articles mentioned along the way.
Again, I hope this series has been food for thought for you. Any more thoughts or comments you have about the issue are still most welcome!

Ladies, What a wonderful series! Just what you needed... a Baptist Texas Pastor's Wife to come across your site. :) It is wonderful! The heart of a pastor's wife, her joys, and her struggles, are universal. I hope you can visit my blog. I like to use humor and scripture to help navigate this amazing calling of pastor's wife.
Thank you for sharing the passion to reach and love on those in minisrty.
Blessings
Debbie
